British Food Fortnight 2021

British-Food-Fortnight-2021

Saturday 18th September marked the start of the 20th annual British Food Fortnight, a 2-week celebration highlighting the delicious and diverse food that Britain produces.

British Food Fortnight began in 2001 with the aim of getting the public motivated in making a conscious effort to buy British produce by using the fun and excitement of a national celebration.

The event takes place every year in the Autumn, in the last week of September, and the first week of October, following the traditional time of the harvest festival when communities gathered to celebrate the produce from the land.

During this fortnight of celebration, hundreds of activities take place across many communities up and down the country.

  • Promotional menus in pubs, restaurants, and hotels
  • Fun food lessons and special menus in schools
  • Meet the producer events and food tasking in shops and markets

Protolan proudly works in partnership with many food and drink manufacturers across the country to achieve their manufacturing excellence by applying our expertise and knowledge.
