Our team is our greatest asset, and we are continuing to grow. Now 32 of us, all with our own strengths, but collectively focused on making a difference in the food and drink industry.
Over the next few months, we would like to share a little bit more about us as individuals – who we are, what we do, and what we are responsible for.
Let’s introduce you to Dale Burley. Dale is a highly experienced Project Engineering Manager, with over 30 years of experience in the Food industry. With Dale’s years of expertise in both the food industry and engineering, he brings a unique and vast knowledge and insight to our team.
Here’s what he had to say …
I have spent much of my 30+ year career working in and around the food industry, gaining experience in manufacturing sectors such as bakery, soups and sauces, and ready meals. I was delighted when offered the role as Project Engineering Manager at Protolan. It has given me the opportunity to share my experience with multiple clients and the Protolan Team.
I am celebrating 3 years with Protolan and the variety of projects we deal with keeps all of us on our toes! The wealth of knowledge the team brings means you have vast expertise to tap into when needed to get the right answer for our clients. These 3 years at Protolan have flown, and I am looking forward to celebrating many more.
Working within the Food Industry
Every day and every project is a challenge. Some more than others, but the same goal remains – supporting our clients in growing their business. The Food industry is a fantastic sector to work in and there is never a dull moment. Current-day challenges of being kind to the environment and driving efficiency, mean that there are obstacles, but it is a great place to be. Every day is a school day of which even the more experienced project manager sees and learns something new.
The Protolan Team
Fantastic bunch and a real team. Although we have a strong team of time-served Project Managers and Project Engineers, we have a balanced mix of new recruits within the team. Protolan is always paving the way towards the future ensuring past experiences are not lost and new ways of thinking are brought to the team.
Working with Covid
As we are all aware, the world is a different place and new opportunities arise in working with the virus to ensure our clients maintain production volume to feed the country. Protolan have not stood still regarding this and continue to support all our clients in creating a safe place to work and ensuring product delivery is not affected.
We are passionate about developing new talent and are constantly looking for the next generation of talent to keep Protolan at its best.
