Working together, playing together…

Working-together-playing-together

Nothing is more important at Protolan than our team – working together, playing together.

Our projects take us all over the UK, Europe, and the USA, meaning we often work remotely from the overall team.  Our goal is to ensure our employees consistently feel included as a member of the team, focused on clear goals, receiving regular and constructive communication, and recognised for achievement.

One of the ways we do this is our monthly team meetings.  This forum allows our busy team to lift their head out of the day to day project challenges and work on cross-functional tasks together.  It creates a space to update the whole team on current projects, work through challenges and provides a platform for learning and improvement.

Most importantly, it is a great reminder that we are in fact in a team!

May’s team meeting ended with a Go Karting event at Sutton Circuit.  Armed with nothing more than some slightly unflattering protective equipment, and the competitive desire to become the next Lewis Hamilton, we split into teams and took to the track.

The team demonstrated courage, determination and a little bit of madness resulting in Richard Whittle and Craig Savage securing a remarkable first place.  Not to be outdone, the girls were right behind them with Emma Brown and Steph Brown flying into second place.

It was a fantastic team event.  Proof that if you take the time to play together, you will work together.

Bring on the next one…
