MDS Schemes

Management Development Scheme Opportunties (MDS) is a partnership of companies which aims to equip young people with the experience, training, mindset and ability to become confident business leaders within the food and drink industry.

Protolan have worked with MDS over several years, securing graduates who work on all areas of our business. We are proud MDS Members with Richard Whittle being an active board member.

We believe we have the roles to challenge young people’s perceptions and champion the exciting, rapidly developing opportunities in food and fresh produce and entice bright engineering minds in to drive our industry forward. We need to encourage them, so that as an industry we can develop managers who will bring engineering acumen to the top table.

Why the MDS scheme works so well

What we love about MDS Trainees is that they are motivated and keen to get stuck in. They are embraced into our business because they embrace it.
