Innovation creates important opportunities for Food and Drink manufacturers.
Protolan follow, with interest, all new and creative development within the food and drink sector. To engage our team in this, we launched an internal competition to identify new products that they thought stood out from the crowd.
This competition has been run over three stages, resulting in three products being selected as what, in our team’s opinion, were examples of innovation within the food industry.
The shortlist consists of:
- Liquiglide – an internal bottle coating that means all of your tomato sauce, mayonnaise etc. easily dispenses from the squeezy bottle with no waste (or effort!).
https://liquiglide.com/ - 3D Printed Food – we particularly liked the printed Sushi concept!
https://3dprinting.com/food/ - Fresh Paper – a flavourless, odourless paper sheet infused with spices that apparently extend the shelf life of fruit and vegetables by up to 2 days!

There were many products bought to the table, all of them credible and original in their own right. Some of our favourites may not be particularly new to the industry, but for us, it was all about the clever thinking driving new products to market.
Which of these three would be your overall winner? We would love to know your favourite.
Let us know which of these three products stands out for innovation and creativity.
